$1M Safe School Crosswalk Project To Begin In 2020: Santa Cruz
Eight Santa Cruz schools will benefit from the grant-funded project, KION reported.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — Work on Santa Cruz's million-dollar Safe Routes to School Crossing Improvements Project will begin in January, KION reported.
Improvements on streetlights, speed radar signs and more will be implemented at 21 areas near eight schools, KION reported. The station said traffic delays can be expected as work will begin Jan. 6 through May, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The project is funded by the state's Active Transportation Program Cycle 2 grant, according to the station.
