Alleged 'Disrespectful Conduct' By 2 SC Councilmembers: Agenda
Santa Cruz City Council is expected to discuss censuring councilmembers Chris Krohn and Drew Glover.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — Complaints against two current Santa Cruz City Councilmembers for alleged disrespectful workplace conduct will be considered during the Sept. 24 city council meeting.
A public report released Aug. 21 by the City of Santa Cruz Human Resources Department titled, “Investigative Report 2019 Complaints Against Two City CouncilMembers,” revealed that six complaints from three people were lodged against Councilmember Chris Krohn. Seven complaints from two people were leveled against Councilmember Drew Glover, the report stated.
The complaints were filed between February and May. After a nearly five-month investigation by Attorney Joe Rose, it was determined that only one accusation against Krohn and one against Glover could be substantiated.

According to the Tuesday's meeting agenda, councilmembers are expected to discuss the report's findings and censure Krohn and Glover in a formal resolution. Councilmembers will also consider several actions to prevent inappropriate behavior from elected and appointed officials, such as developing a formal onboarding process for them that incorporates sexual harassment, discrimination and workplace conduct policies.
