Officials ID Body: Missing Hiker Haesl Green, Santa Cruz County
There were no signs of trauma, and foul play is not suspected in Haesl Green's death, the sheriff's office said.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A body found during a search and rescue effort has been identified as missing hiker Haesl Green. Green's body was discovered by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff Office's Search and Rescue Team on Sunday. There were no signs of trauma, and foul play is not suspected in his death., the sheriff's office said.
Green, 22, was last seen alive July 24 while hiking in the 1000 block of Bonny Doon Road, not far from the old Bonny Doon Limestone & Shale mine, according to a flier posted for the missing man. He was mining for minerals with a friend and went to get water but never returned, the flier said.
