The Hive Poetry Collective is proud to carry forward Santa Cruz’s beloved tradition of the Muse—now in its 44th year! This annual gathering—this year, part of the Ripple Effect Santa Cruz Arts Festival—uplifts women-identified and non- binary poets and honors the creative spirit that has inspired our community for over four decades.
Join us Tuesday, April 21 at 6:30pm for a two-hour poetry reading at the Resource Center for Nonviolence, 612 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz. The evening will feature vibrant and diverse poetry from 17 poets, including two Cabrillo students, coming together to share original work and celebrate the power of language and community; Gabriella Gutiérrez y Muhs, Elizabeth Robinson, Kaily Dorfman, Veronica Kornberg, Rebekah Wolman, Chopsy Gutowski, Pearl Kan, Amanda Chiado, Hilary King, Heather Duffy, Andrena Zawinski, Cassandra Bautista, Zoe Ly Bredesen, Jennifer Trainor, Wilma Marcus Chandler, Rachel Huerta, and Andrea Wilson.
Suggested donation is $10-$40. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Your donations will help Monarch Services of Santa Cruz County continue their work offering aid to survivors of violence and abuse. Parking is available onsite and across the street at the County Government Building.
