This monthly workshop introduces principles from Deb Voisin’s Moving As Designed Method, a system designed to restore natural alignment, elastic strength, and resilient movement.

Despite the word spring, this is not a fast or acrobatic class. The practice is calm, focused, and often surprisingly still. Much of the work happens in semi-static positions where we slowly shuttle between subtle variations to organize posture, awaken specific muscles, and build elastic support throughout the body.

From the outside, the shapes can resemble yoga poses or the poised strength of a classical Greek athlete statue. Inside the body, however, we are intentionally developing the aligned muscular coordination that supports healthy walking, running, and everyday movement.

Using spiral patterns, re-tensioning movements, and mid-range strength work, participants begin to rediscover the body’s natural ability to store and release energy like a spring while staying stable and aligned.

Along the way, Deb also shares insights into common movement patterns that often contribute to chronic pain and athletic injuries, helping participants develop a clearer understanding of their own bodies and expand their self-care toolkit for long-term resilience.

Class may include:

calm semi-static positions that build elastic strength spiral mobility that supports natural gait patterns re-tensioning movements that help joints organize and align mid-range strength for resilient stability breath integration to reduce unnecessary tension practical insights into injury-contributing movement patterns
This workshop is appropriate for most bodies and especially valuable for people interested in improving posture, reducing injury risk, and learning how the body was designed to move.

You may leave feeling taller, lighter, and more springy in your step.

Deb Voisin is a regenerative movement coach who used unconventional yet practical and ancestral ways of moving to heal her own chronic hip, knee, and neck pain.

She has trained in many restorative movement systems like GOATA, Gokhale Method, Original Strength, PRI (Postural Restoration Institute), Functional Patterns, Weck Method and the Axis Syllabus. She is passionate about helping others harness and recycle gravity with better organic alignment, greatly reducing their chance of injury or chronic pain.
