Deputy Accused Of Domestic Violence, Robbery: Report
The Santa Cruz County correctional officer is no longer with the sheriff's office, Good Times reported.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A former correctional officer with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office no longer has his job after he was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and robbery charges, Good Times reported.
Jesus A. Villarreal was arrested in Monterey County, the paper reported. A Monterey County Sheriff's Office spokesperson could not immediately be reached for comment.
This is the third recent arrest of a Santa Cruz County jail officer.

Last week the sheriff's office announced that Jenna Baldwin, a 12-year department veteran, was arrested on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with an inmate, assault by a public officer and bringing contraband into a jail.
In September, Jessica Smith, a five-year department veteran, was arrested on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with an inmate, assault by a public officer and unauthorized computer access.

Hart told Good Times that he was troubled by recent findings of misconduct among correctional staff, and said he offers training around such incidents and finds their behavior unacceptable.
