A multitalented and international famous jazz legend – composer, arranger, lyricist, producer, NEA Master and a phenomenal tenor saxophone player –Benny Golson has played in the bands of Benny Goodman, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, Earl Bostic and Art Blakely. Golson has made major contributions to the world of jazz by composing songs that have become standards in the jazz world, such as Killer Joe, I Remember Clifford andAlong Came Betty. With over 30 albums and 300 compositions under his belt over the past 55 years, this is your chance to see and hear greatness, along with special guest, vocalist Nnenna Freelon and his stellar quintet featuring Mike LeDonne - piano,Ray Drummon - bass and fellow NEA Jazz Master Jason Marsalis - drums.
