Grave Changes

There will be an ceramics art installation on Wednesday May 9th and Thursday, May 10th on the lawn in front of Crocker Theater at Cabrillo College.

This collaborative installation, conceived by Cabrillo College ceramics instructors Gail Ritchie and the late Kathyrn McBride and brought to life by over 20 dedicated students, faculty and community members has recently returned from the annual ceramics show at Davis, California where it was well received.

Called "Grave Changes," it depicts each individual artist's concepts of what they would like to see buried. As the artists' statement depicts, "What would happen if a graveyard of sculptured headstones was not a place of loss and bereavement, but instead became a locus of triumph and celebration?"
