As a part of Downtown Santa Cruz's First Friday Art Tours, Pure Pleasure is please to display the paintings of Josefina Estrada from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on February 4th.
Josefina was born in Mexico, in the state of Michoacán. She knew from a young age that she wanted to paint as a way to communicate her feelings. She uses beautiful objects, symbolic expression, visions, ideologies and imagination to express the world as she feels it and how she would like it to be. Josephine wants to raise awareness in people through her work with problems she believes are serious and must be taken into account, because they affect us all. In some of her paintings she places the heart as a symbol. She believes that this is the principle organ that is the source of all feelings and emotions.
