From January 22nd through the 23rd Pacific Coast Children's Writers Workshops is proud to present its TeenSpeak Novel and Multimedia Workshop. This is an innovative, hands-on retreat for 15
tween readers and writers. Participants will explore story-crafting in interwoven contexts—discussing their own or their peers' writing, making a short film with a breakout group, designing a model theater for a book or movie they love (or hope to publish). Five arts professionals including a nationally-published YA author and journalist will be on staff to guide participants and will offer optional faculty critiques. The workshop will also feature outdoor adventures and a mini performance with a take-home DVD. An Early Bird discount is available through December 18th and the workshop is open until filled.
