Firefighter's Wallet Stolen As He Fought CZU Lightning Complex
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect caught on camera in a convenience store.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in identifying a person who is thought to have stolen a firefighter's wallet out of his car as he battled the flames of the CZU August Lightning Complex.
The firefighter's car was parked at the Bonny Doon Fire Station along Empire Grade Road overnight Friday. His credit card was later used at Capitola's Shell gas station and Safeway on 41st Avenue.
The suspect is a man wearing a black-and-white-checkered face mask with a Giants baseball cap, a black T-shirt, light blue jeans and black Vans-style sneakers.
