How To Vote By Mail-In Ballot Or At The Polls In Santa Cruz
Ballots are arriving in Santa Cruz mailboxes ahead of Election Day on Nov. 3. Here's what comes next.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Many Santa Cruz County voters received their ballots Monday, according to the county clerk office.

When you're ready to cast your vote, you've got options. Either mail your ballot — and make sure it's postmarked by Election Day — or return it to a ballot drop box or voting location.

All ballot drop boxes were set to be erected by Tuesday, according to the county.

Here are the ballot drop box locations in Santa Cruz:
- County Government Center, 701 Ocean St.
- Parking lot 16 (next to the library), 212 Church St.
- University of California, Santa Cruz Quarry Plaza: walk up

Santa Cruz County has 20 in-person voting locations, including a mobile voting trailer that will begin making rounds Oct. 12. At voting locations, you can register and vote on the same day, obtain a replacement ballot, return your mail-in ballot, and use a tablet to vote in Spanish.
Voters can go to any location.
While the Santa Cruz County Clerk/Elections office just began serving voters weekdays during regular business hours, all other Santa Cruz voting locations will be open at the following dates and times:
- Oct. 31, Nov. 1: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Nov. 2: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Nov. 3 (Election Day): 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

- Simpkins Family Swim Center, 979 17th Ave.
- Bonny Doon Elementary School, 1492 Pine Flat Road
- Kaiser Permanente Arena, 140 Front St.
- Masonic Center, 828 N. Branciforte Ave.
- Gateway School gym (formerly Natural Bridges School), 255 Swift St.
- University of California, Santa Cruz Merrill Cultural Center (open Nov. 2 and 3 only)
