All lanes have reopened after a twelve-car accident on the state Highway 17 in Santa Cruz County caused closures this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collisions were first reported around 6 a.m. near Laurel Road, the CHP said.
Both northbound and southbound lanes were closed due to the spread-out nature of the accident, while cars were directed past the crash gradually during clean-up, the CHP said.
