Local Schools Fundraiser: Signed Curry Jersey, $25K Up For Grabs
Big prizes are at stake in an annual fundraiser benefiting Santa Cruz County schools that's raised nearly $7 million over the years.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — The annual Drive for Schools fundraiser to support Santa Cruz County schools has kicked off, and this year participants will have a shot at winning a signed Steph Curry jersey or a $25,000 cash prize.
The fundraiser has raised $6.8 million since it began in 2005, according to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, which is a co-sponsor of the fundraiser. Last year, the fundraiser brought in $690,000.
Tickets are going for $5 apiece or six for $25. Sales are conducted through participating schools through Oct. 25 and the drawing will be held 1 p.m. Nov. 1. Any tickets sold on the day of the drawing will benefit the Santa Cruz County Office of Education Special Education Department.

Entrants will also have a chance to win five $1,000 cash prizes and other prizes that have yet to be announced, according to the boardwalk.
All Santa Cruz County schools may participate.
