Man Accused Of Secretly Photographing Girls' Buttocks
Officials said the suspect took the pictures at a high school, beach and downtown. Additional victims sought by Santa Cruz police.
SANTA CRUZ, CA – The Santa Cruz Police Department is seeking possible additional victims of a man arrested Thursday, accused of photographing girls' buttocks without their knowledge, authorities said.
Christopher Swanson, 29 of Santa Cruz, was taken into custody after detectives investigated a teen's allegations that he was spotted several times near Santa Cruz High School taking pictures of her and other students' behinds, police said.
"This quick-thinking teen snapped a picture of the suspect and notified the Santa Cruz Police Department," according to the agency. "When interviewed by detectives, Mr. Swanson admitted to secretly photographing and videoing females’ buttocks for the purpose of sexual gratification. Swanson admitted that he perceived some of these females to be as young as 16."

The suspect allegedly admitted to officers that he did this at Santa Cruz High, the Santa Cruz Main Beach and in downtown Santa Cruz, police said.
A search of Swanson’s phone revealed "numerous" photos and videos, that appeared to be secretly taken, of buttocks of females, many of whom looked to be approximately of high school age, officials said.

"Santa Cruz police believe there may be more victims who were unknowingly photographed and videoed
by Christopher Swanson in the City of Santa Cruz," police said.
