Man Arrested, Allegedly Harassed Girls Walking To School
Kenneth Wilder, 26, was arrested by police canvassing a school after reports of a man harassing girls in the area.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — A 26-year-old man has been arrested after police received reports Tuesday of a man harassing girls headed to a Santa Cruz school. In at least one case, a girl was younger than 14 years old, jail records show.
Kenneth Hunter Douglas Wilder was arrested Wednesday morning in the 800 block of Laurel Street, on suspicion of felony charges related to violating parole and attempting to molest the girls, according to the Santa Cruz Police Department and jail records.
He did not injure anyone, police say.

When police first heard that a man was harassing girls Tuesday, police arrived and couldn't find anyone. They conducted surveillance at the area on Wednesday and found Wilder.
He remained in custody as of Thursday afternoon.
