Don’t miss this once-a-year opportunity on January 21st at 6 pm to get a closer look at our academically-challenging middle school and see how Gateway prepares students for success in high school and beyond! Hear from our talented and inspiring faculty, experience sample lessons, and meet current and alumni students.
Gateway School has been Santa Cruz’s premier independent progressive K-8 school since 1970. Located on 2.5 acres perched above Steamer’s Lane, Gateway School’s mission is to inspire children to lead lives of purpose and compassion through scholarship and citizenship. At Gateway School, we recognize that the world in which our children live is continually changing. To manage the demands of growing up in dynamic times, students need to know how to apply the knowledge and skills they learn in school to creatively address and solve challenges. Gateway School’s teachers develop students’ higher-level skills every day, and employ brain-smart techniques to teach academic content through real-world experiences. Our classrooms extend beyond our campus into our community, our natural environment, and around the world. Small class sizes ensure individual attention from teachers who know each child well, and care about their needs and interests. Art, Music, Spanish, Mindfulness, Life Lab Science and Technology are integral parts of our robust curriculum. In this safe and supportive environment, Gateway students learn to think critically, communicate effectively and work collaboratively. Explore Gateway School online at www.gatewaysc.org.
