Missing Person Alert: Man, 22, Reportedly Not Seen Since Leaving Seacliff Area Wednesday

Sheriff’s deputies in Santa Cruz County are looking for a 22-year-old man reported missing Wednesday by a family member and last seen on Monday morning, a sheriff’s spokesman said today.

Brenden Cruz-Lynch has been missing since leaving his residence in the 200 block of North Avenue in the unincorporated Aptos area near Seacliff State Beach to visit an unidentified friend at 8 a.m. Monday, according to sheriff’s Lt. Kelly Kent.

Cruz-Lynch, who frequents North Rodeo Gulch Road near the unincorporated Soquel area, has medical conditions that place him at risk if not treated, Kent said.

He was driving a silver-gray, 4-door 2001 Toyota Corolla with California license plate number 5GEW752 and the back of the car had several stickers including a decal of the green, white and orange Irish flag, he said.

Cruz-Lynch is described as a white man, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes and was wearing blue jeans and hiking boots.

The sheriff’s office is requesting those who see Cruz-Lynch or his vehicle to phone sheriff’s dispatch at (831) 471-1121.
