‘At Risk’ Man Missing From Santa Cruz May Be Headed To SoCal

James Avery, 67, has not been seen since Sunday.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a man who suffers from dementia and is missing. Authorities say James Avery, 67, has not been seen since Sunday afternoon. Avery was last seen near 7th Avenue in Live Oak in Santa Cruz County.

Avery may be headed to Southern California believing he is having work done on a motorcycle, according to deputies. Avery has a white Chevy Silverado truck with California license plate: 5X53032. Anyone who sees Avery or his car should contact local law enforcement officials.
