SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — The Great Plates Delivered program to deliver three meals per day to older adults vulnerable to COVID-19 has been extended.
The program serves hundreds and was extended another 30 days through July 10, the county announced Wednesday morning in a news release. The county said late last week that the program would expire June 10 if the feds did not grant the state an extension.
California covers 19 percent of the program cost while the federal Coronavirus, Aid, Relief & Economic Security Act covers the rest.
