From Santa Cruz PD: Name That 'Bubbly Bandit'
Police said the woman stole six bottles of Champagne from the Shopper's Corner store.
Police are on the lookout for a “bubbly bandit” who shoved six bottles of high-end Champagne under her coat at a Santa Cruz grocery store last month.
Police said today the woman stole the Champagne from the Shopper’s Corner store at 622 Soquel Ave. at about 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 19.
Photos from the store’s surveillance system released by Santa Cruz police show the woman at a checkout line, but it’s difficult to tell she had six bottles of the sparkling wine under her black coat.
