SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — The City of Santa Cruz continues construction of Coastal Rail Trail Segment 7/Phase I with micro-surface sealing planned for eight streets from Tuesday, Sept. 29 through Thursday, Oct. 1. This work is in preparation for pavement striping that is planned at the end of October.
Construction start times follow below with each roadway to be fully re-opened by 4 p.m. Temporary traffic control will include one-lane closure with flaggers on commercial and high volume streets to allow for two-way traffic. Full roadway closures with detour signs will occur on low volume neighborhood streets.

Here is the schedule for the impacted streets:
Tuesday, Sept. 29, start time 10 a.m.:
1. Natural Bridges Drive – one lane, flaggers
2. Swift Street – one lane, flaggers
3. Fair Avenue – one lane, flaggers
4. Almar Avenue – one lane, flaggers
Wednesday, Sept. 30, start time 8 a.m.:
5. Seaside Street – full closure, detour
6. Younglove Avenue – full closure, detour
7. Lennox Street – full closure, detour
8. Bay Street – one lane, flaggers
Thursday, Oct. 1, start time 8 a.m.:
Touch up of any of the eight street locations as needed.
