Second Drug Bust In 2 Days Near Soquel Avenue In Santa Cruz Co.
In both cases, illegal drugs, cash and weapons were found.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Narcotics detectives with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office made another drug bust Tuesday, just blocks from a similar one made by the department Monday.
Robert Truhitte and Karen Laubenthal were taken into custody Tuesday at a motel near the 1900 block of Soquel Avenue after detectives found 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 1 ounce of heroin, psylocybin mushrooms, $14,000 in cash and a loaded 9mm handgun, the sheriff's office said.
The two were booked into county jail on narcotics and weapons charges, the sheriff's office said.

Allison Nault and Paul Garcia were both taken into custody Monday following a bust at a hotel in the 1700 block of Soquel Avenue. The duo was found with more than $102,000 worth of illegal drugs, a loaded .40 caliber handgun and $9,000 in cash, according to the sheriff's office.
