SEE: Car Plows Into Santa Cruz Store, No Injuries Reported
The driver thought they were backing out of a parking spot, but instead drove into the wall of Bay Photo Lab.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — A driver mistakenly put their Acura SUV in drive while trying to back out of a parking spot and plowed straight into a wall of Bay Photo Lab (715 Soquel Ave.).
There were no injuries, but the building's exterior and interior appeared to sustain quite a bit of damage, according to a photo posted to the Santa Cruz Police Department's Facebook page. The car was more than halfway through the wall, with the rear tires and trunk still outside.
The hole has since been patched up and Bay Photo Lab remains open for business.

The crash was one of 130 calls for service the Santa Cruz Police Department said it handled that day.
