Vendors Outside Santa Cruz Boardwalk Banned
The city will prohibit sidewalk vending along Beach Street and West Cliff Drive, on the beach and along the wharf.
SANTA CRUZ, CA β The Santa Cruz Police Department will ticket vendors peddling goods on Beach Street, on West Cliff Drive, on the beach and along the wharf due to COVID-19 concerns.
Police are enforcing an executive order signed by City Manager Martin Bernal, Police Chief Andrew Mills said Friday. Limited space and a lack of face coverings and social distancing are problematic, he said.
"We have diligently tried to work with our neighbors on social distancing, but the problem has worsened," Mills said.
