Volunteer with the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History

Are you Interested in being a part of a fun, committed, and lively team? Do you want to develop new skills while working with your community? Volunteer with the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History and make an invaluable impact on our local environment.
Founded over 100 years ago, the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History is rooted in understanding and sharing a fascination of the natural world. Today, education remains at the core of the Museum's mission: to connect people to nature. All of the Museum's educational programs are designed to foster understanding and appreciation of Santa Cruz's rich natural and cultural history. Anchored in nature, the Museum's programs strive to create a personal understanding of the world around us and our role in it.
Every year the Museum provides quality educational programs to thousands of youth. You can help lead educational tours for school groups (K - 5th grade) on a variety of subjects. The Museum is currently seeking docents for the following education programs:

Field Docent Programs (Off-site)

- Neary Lagoon Watershed Walk (5th grade)
- Pogonip Nature Rangers Program (4th grade)
