West Cliff Drive Neighbors’ Project Will Impact Traffic
Drivers will likely experience delays.

SANTA CRUZ, CA - From the City of Santa Cruz Public Works: The City of Santa Cruz has approved a privately funded undergrounding project on West Cliff Drive between Columbia and Woodrow streets that begins today and continues for eight weeks with traffic impacts during the weekday working hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The public is advised to seek alternate routes during construction hours. The work schedule follows with some fluctuations expected:
· One lane of Columbia Street is being closed for several hours on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
· The westbound lane of West Cliff Drive between Columbia and Woodrow streets will be closed from Wednesday, Oct. 17, through Friday, Oct. 19, with a detour in place.
· Columbia Street will be closed from Monday, Oct. 22, through Tuesday, Oct. 23.
· Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 24, and continuing intermittently over eight weeks, the westbound lane of West Cliff Drive will be closed between Columbia and Woodrow streets with a detour in place.
