TheGROOVE is a simple fitness class that anyone can do! There are no fancy steps or choreography to memorize. Just a couple of simple steps that make you dance to the music and get into TheGROOVE. The class starts with a juicy warm-up, eases you into the moves, gets your heart rate going and ends with stretches and a brief cool down meditation. DANCE your HEART out!
These short classes make parking a breeze - free for the first 1.5 hours and just a $1 for the next hour in Parking Structure 6 on 2nd between Broadway and Santa Monica.

Parking and Transport: Parking is $1 for first 2.5 hours in Parking Structure 6 (2nd between Broadway and Santa Monica), each 30 min. thereafter $1.50, max $14. At 120 Broadway, flat $5 after 4pm and weekends. At the Civic Auditorium lot at 1855 Main St; $5 all day, every day. Meters on Ocean Avenue; $2/hr maximum 3 hours. Registration (bring cash to cover material fees) In Person: Advance registration accepted at 1450 Ocean between 9am-5pm M-F & 11am-4pm Sat. Dropping in? Call 310-458-2239 to confirm availability, preferably by the Tuesday before class starts; plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of class; many classes do not allow drop ins.
REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refund/transfer requests must be made in writing to the program supervisor in person or by fax (310-899-0840), mail, or email (communityclasses@smgov.net). Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES will be made up at the end of the session. Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. OTHER - All class dates, times, locations, and instructors are subject to change without notice. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met. Material fees are not discountable and nonrefundable.
