Biking Film Screens in Santa Monica: See Pics
The filmmaker behind the award-winning "Life Cycles" attends a Q&A at the X-Dance event.
Mountain-biking enthusiasts descended upon Santa Monica's Red Bull Screening Room last week for a screening of the award-winning film Life Cycles. The director of the movie, Ryan Gibb, participated in a Q&A after the screening.
Life Cycles hones in on the mountain bike itself, following the off-road cycle from its initial construction through to its eventual demise. The 47-minute flick recently nabbed Best Picture, Best Director and Best Cinematography honors at the 2011 X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival.
The event was hosted by Eric Barrett of Mirror Films for X-Dance, which is an action-sports company.
