“We value community input as a critical component to identifying the qualities Santa Monica needs in a leader who, with the Council, will see the City through the next stage of its recovery as the pandemic subsides and the economy lifts. Please weigh in so we have your thoughts as we select our next City Manager,” said Mayor Sue Himmelrich who, with Councilmembers Gleam Davis and Oscar de la Torre, is leading the City Council subcommittee for the City Manager recruitment.

The City Council subcommittee selected Ralph Andersen & Associations, including Lamont Ewell, a respected leader and former Santa Monica city manager (2006 – 2009), to oversee the national search.
