SANTA MONICA, CA — Firefighters knocked down a structure fire in Santa Monica Monday evening.

The fire at 16th Street and Pearl Street was reported about 5:50 p.m. and knocked down in about 10 minutes. No injuries were reported.

Officials were asking people to avoid the area during the investigation.
