How to Stay Motivated While Pursuing Your Goals!

Have you already strayed from your 2016 goals? Use this simple exercise to help keep your goals in sight!

Have you set a goal or many goals for 2016 but are already finding yourself off-track? If so, a great way to stay inspired, energized and motivated is to create a “Compelling Vision”.

What is a Compelling Vision? A Compelling vision is your heart, head and gut reason for doing something. It takes away the “I should” and replaces it with a deeper connection to your motivation. This ”motivation manifesto” will help keep you on track and inspired when you are feeling discouraged and disheartened. The clearer the answers the better the chance of you achieving your goal!

Here are some questions to ask yourself:

1) Why do I want this?

2) What excites you about this goal?

3) What are the benefits of achieving this goal?

4) How will your life be positively impacted when you achieve this goal?

5) How will you feel when you achieve this goal or if you don’t achieve this goal?

Formulate a short paragraph from your answers or write a list of motivational reasons that came from this exercise. Then, keep this list handy, either a sticky note on a mirror or perhaps an email to yourself that you can access whenever you feel like it. Come up with your own way of having it available to you when you need it.

Everyone gets off track once in a while but with a “Compelling Vision” the chances of you staying on course just got better!
