JAMES CORDEN TO HOST REBELS WITH A CAUSE GALA ON MAY 11, 2016 AT THE BARKER HANGER
Event Benefits USC Center for Applied Molecular Medicine for Life-Saving Cancer Research. Gala will feature special guest performances.

LOS ANGELES (March 16, 2016) – Stars of film, music, medicine and technology will join hundreds of Los Angeles luminaries on Wednesday, May 11, for the third biennial Rebels With A Cause gala. The eagerly awaited event will be held at The Barker Hanger in Santa Monica to benefit the revolutionary and life-saving research of David B. Agus, M.D., director of the USC Westside Cancer Center and the USC Center for Applied Molecular Medicine (CAMM). Award-winning actor and late-night talk show host James Corden is set as Master of Ceremonies.
The event’s co-chairs are Sandy and David Ellison, Chief Executive Officer, Skydance Media. The gala event will feature special guest performances to be announced, with 16-time Grammy Award-winner David Foster again serving as the evening’s musical director. Internationally acclaimed director and producer Don Mischer will produce.
James Corden is a multi-faceted performer, host, actor, writer and producer with accomplishments that span television, theater, film and comedy. He currently hosts the late-night television talk show The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS. In 2012 he won a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for One Man, Two Guvnors. Corden co-created, co-wrote and starred in the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey (2007-2010), for which he won the BAFTA Television Award for Best Comedy Performance. He also hosts the British television comedy game show A League of Their Own since 2010. This year he will host the 70th Annual Tony Awards.

ABOUT THE USC CENTER FOR APPLIED MOLECULAR MEDICINE (CAMM)
The USC Center for Applied Molecular Medicine was founded at the Keck School of Medicine in 2009 by David B. Agus, M.D., to develop new cross-disciplinary approaches to treating and preventing cancer. The Center includes team members with expertise spanning oncology, cancer biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, computer science, electrical engineering, bioorganic chemistry, physics and applied mathematics.
