Throughout the month of March, try out a class with one of our great dance instructors, all levels welcome! The GROOVE dance fitness class starts with a gentle warm-up that allows time for you to feel out your body in that moment. The class brings in simple movements that connect you to the delicious music and your own GROOVE. The guts of the class is a dynamic cardio dance party with styles of music from across the spectrum. TheGROOVE gives you the chance to develop concentration, balance, strength, creativity & acceptance. The class cools down with stillness that allows you to integrate all the joy you’ve exp...erienced from dancing your heart out! All this in 1 hour of bliss. TheGROOVE truths are: no one cares what you look like * you can’t get it wrong * your way is the right way * your body is unique and you should look unique * you don’t know what something will feel like until you do it!

Sarah’s effervescent spirit and joy of dance is contagious and she shares it with the children she works with every day. Sarah has been teaching ballet, tap and world dance with the City of Santa Monica for the past 15 years. She created World Groove from a desire to promote peace through community dance art and culture and since then the camp has become a well loved part of the summer in Santa Monica. Sarah is a certified preschool teacher who has a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and a Masters of Social Work from CSUN.
