Come and experience the magic that is polymer clay. We'll learn the basics like conditioning the clay, shaping methods, baking and treatments for the finished product. If time allows we'll also explore some of the special techniques, such as how to create faux gem stones. You'll have lots of time to explore and tools to play with including a pasta machine, press molds and a vast array of cutters and texture makers. You'll leave with several examples of your handiwork! Material fee includes 2-4 oz. of clay, paint, sand paper and sealant.

Angharad Caceres is a lifelong cr...after and founder of the Urban Craft Center. Beginning with the Campfire group she belonged to in elementary school, she has dabbled in a huge variety of crafts (many of them glue gun dependent) but especially enjoys those that create objects with purpose. Bookbinding, soapmaking, knitting, and sewing are at the top of her list. Teaching has always been a part of her life, from the 4th and 5th grades she taught in Portland, Oregon, to the classes she ran at the Urban Craft Center; she is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and passion for making.

Refunds/Transfers: Full refunds are given if class is cancelled before taking place - enroll online with confidence. For student withdrawals for any other reason, $15 processing fee for each multisession activity refunded; one-time classes & expended material fees are nonrefundable.
