Man Stabbed In Long Beach, Dies At Hospital

A hunt is on for the suspect, police said.

LONG BEACH, CA – A man was stabbed to death in Long Beach and police are searching Thursday for his assailant.

Officers responded about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to a reported possible stabbing near the intersection of Orange Avenue and Wardlow Road and found a man with stab wounds, according to Lt. G. Prieto of the Long Beach Police Department.

David Groff, 51, died at a hospital, the coroner's office reported. His home town was not known. No information on a suspect or a motive was immediately available, Prieto said.
