Santa Monica has a new scene at night, including outdoor socially-distanced dining options.
SANTA MONICA, CA — Santa Monica has a new scene at night. From dusk to sundown, local restaurants are creating fresh outdoor dining experiences steps from the beach.
This weekend included temperature checks before service, distanced dining and a new way to enjoy the waves. From Main Street French eatery Pasjoli to Sunny Blue, a fun, curbside parklet feels just like a trip to Europe or Kyoto.
Restaurants are still requiring masks and entry inside some locations to order is limited, but there's a new sense of normal.

The Beach Club At The Victorian has a set of safety commandments the group shares on their website and with staff and customers. It includes a "scrub-in" for employees before they start their shifts, coronavirus testing on-site and requires staff to wear PPE. Customers must wear masks before they're seated. The location also expanded outdoor seating, creating a spacious boho lounge from the 1980s gem to the lawn just outside the California Heritage Museum.
