Silk Screen Printing Workshop Nov. 8
Learn basic silk screening techniques you can do at home. Make greeting cards to take home.
Learn the basics of screen-printing using non-photographic simple stencils, print with water-based inks and discover how much fun and how simple screen printing can be. The workshop will focus non-photographic printing using simple hand cut stencils or painting on screen that can easily be done at home. All participants will leave with a basic understanding of how to print, with hands on experience producing 12 greeting cards with envelopes.
The one day workshop will include: Screen printing overview / demo / samples / hands on making + printing

Instructor: Lorna Turner is a longtime maker of photographic prints, greeting cards, digital illustrations and small screen print editions. By day she works as a multi-disciplinary designer and a part-time educator.
BookArtsLA is a new, nonprofit organization devoted to bringing the beauty of printing, binding, and collecting artists’ and other hand made books to the public.
