Woman Hurt After Car Crashes Into Home, Ignites Fire In Mar Vista
A woman, who was pulled from the wreckage, was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
MAR VISTA, CA — A vehicle plowed into a two-story home in Mar Vista on Friday morning and a fire erupted inside the structure, authorities said.
A woman was pulled from the wreckage and the vehicle. She was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman, Brian Humphrey.
Authorities arrived on scene around 10:56 a.m. to 1722 Walgrove Ave, where "heavy fire" had erupted before their arrival.

It took 56 firefighters a little over an hour to access, confine and fully put out stubborn flames within the heavily damaged home. The structure was built in 1952 and was severely compromised, LAFD said.
No other injuries have been reported.
