3 Injured, SUV Overturns in Crash on Carlton Oaks Drive in Santee
BREAKING: The two-vehicle collision occurred at about 12:30 p.m. Friday, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department reported.

SANTEE, CA β Three people were injured β one seriously β in a two-vehicle crash on a Santee roadway, a San Diego County sheriff's official said.
Deputies from the Santee Sheriff's Station responded at about 12:35 p.m. to a report of a head-on collision at the intersection of Carlton Oaks Drive and Oakbourne Road, sheriff's Sgt. Mike McNeill stated in a news release.
Once at the scene, they found that a 2009 Nissan Xterra had been traveling west on Carlton Oaks at about 65 mph when it collided with a 2004 Toyota minivan that was turning east onto Carlton Oaks from southbound Oakbourne, McNeill said.

The impact caused the Nissan to overturn and it came to rest in the middle of the roadway, resulting injuries to the driver that did not appear to be life-threatening, the sergeant said.
The Toyota driver suffered serious injuries. His 16-year-old son, who was sitting in the front seat, was also injured by not in a life-threatening way, according to McNeill.

"All parties were transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital and are in stable condition," McNeill said.
The Sheriff's Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team and investigators from the Santee station are continuing an investigation of the collision.
