Missing 4-Year-Old Found Safe In Santee

SANTEE, CA – A 4-year-old girl who went missing from a Santee apartment complex has been found safe, authorities said.

The girl went missing around 4:30 p.m. from the Parc One apartment complex on Town Center Parkway, sheriff's Lt. James Cady said. Her mother reportedly went outside to get something from her car, leaving the girl inside the apartment. When the woman returned, her daughter was missing.

A sheriff's helicopter helped search for the girl.

"We have a lot of resources looking in the area," Cady said during the search.

No other information was immediately available.
