Brush Fire Burns 21 Acres Along State Route 52
The fire has shut down three lanes on westbound SR-52.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A brush fire sparked Friday afternoon alongside state Route 52 in the Tierrasanta area of San Diego.
The blaze broke out around 4:30 p.m. off westbound SR-52, near Mast Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fire has burned 21 acres, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. Crews were battling the flames on the ground and aboard firefighting aircraft. There were no reports of structural threats.

The fire has shut down three westbound lanes, according to Caltrans. Traffic was backed up in the area. Authorities urged motorists to find an alternative route.
