SANTEE, CA — Crews worked Thursday to put out flames in a riverbed behind the Walmart in Santee.

The brush fire burned in heavy fuels behind the store at 170 Town Center Parkway. Smoke was visible in the area as shown on the Cowles Mountain Alert SDG&E Camera.
