We are pleased to announce that Community Montessori Charter School, Santee Learning Center is holding our very first Eco Community Fair on May 2, 2015 from 9am to 1pm.

Community Montessori Charter School is in its third year in Santee! Part of our mission is to raise community awareness about our school. An Eco Fair is a wonderful venue to do this. For those of you who are not familiar with charter schools, we are a free public school option, and enrollment is open to anyone living within San Diego County.
Our Eco Fair has a specific theme which is to raise awareness about the environment. We strive to teach our students to be independent thinkers and stewards of their school, community an eventually possibly the world someday! Through experiential learning CMCS students learn about our planet earth, the different biomes throughout the world, and how plants, animals and humans rely on one another. Our Eco Fair is an opportunity for our students to show how they care for our environment, and also a forum for the community to do so, too.

During the fair, people will be able to learn about succulent plants, composting, and recycling to make different crafts. There will also be some of the typical fair activities like a cake walk, jumpy, basket raffle, barbeque, and cotton candy. We are offering booth spaces for any vendors in the community who are interested in sharing what they do. We can offer a 12X12 space for $25.00.
