Concert at the Lakes Organizers and Waste Management Encourage Recycling at Annual Fundraiser
Event Supporting Youth Programs, Scholarships and Family Recreation
Concert at the Lakes title sponsor, Waste Management of San Diego and event organizers have teamed up to promote recycling at this year’s summer music concert taking place on July 29 at Santee Lakes in Santee, Lake Five North.
The event, which is organized by the Santee Lakeside Rotary Foundation and The Santee Lakes Foundation is the largest fundraiser of the year with all proceeds going to support local youth programs, scholarships and family recreation.
“Supporting community programs that enhance the quality of life in the East County is very important to us," said Kristine Costa, municipal affairs manager for Waste Management. "We care deeply about the neighborhoods we help keep clean every day and are honored to be investing in programs that will help develop our local youth into future community leaders.”

In addition to serving as title sponsor, Waste Management will be extending in-kind waste and recycling services and is encouraging concert attendees to maximize the use of the marked recycling boxes that will be found throughout the event.
“Concerts can result in a lot of extra trash ending up in the garbage, so we’re glad to have Waste Management on board to encourage recycling at our event,” said John Morley, Concert at the Lakes event organizer.
