El Cajon Woman ID'd as Victim in Fatal Rollover Crash
The victim died Sunday at the scene of the fiery crash off Interstate 15 at Murphy Canyon Road.

San Diego, CA β A woman killed SundayΒ when the SUVΒ she was riding in rolled off ofΒ Interstate 15 onto Murphy Canyon Road was identified TuesdayΒ as an El Cajon resident.
Divinia Iruguin Cataluna, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 1 p.m. crash, theΒ San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office reported.
Authorities say she was the passenger of an SUVΒ that witnesses sawΒ traveling on southbound I-15 near Aero Drive when itΒ veered off the freeway, rolled down the westΒ embankment and came to rest upright in theΒ 3300 block ofΒ Murphy Canyon,Β where it caught fire.

CatalunaΒ was ejected from the vehicle. Despite resuscitationΒ efforts of emergency personnel, she succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries.
The male driver ofΒ the vehicle wasΒ trapped inside the wreckage andΒ had to be extricated by firefighters. HeΒ was taken by paramedics to Sharp Memorial Hospital, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department Spokesman LeeΒ Swanson.

The wreck caused aΒ closure ofΒ Murphy Canyon, along the freeway frontage between Aero Drive and Stonecrest Boulevard, according to San Diego Police.
