Farmers Market Fresh: New Things at Market

A group of newbies at the farmer's market offer a variety of gourmet finds

Last week at the several new vendors were featuring a variety of gourmet delicacies.  With lots of samples available, it is hard to get away without a little of everything!

Harry D'z-- Home  BBQ'd meats with their special house rub and sauce.  With years of experience in the business, he has perfected his spicy-sweet rub and sauce. I sampled a bite of pulled pork with spicy sauce.  With a good kick, it was a little bite of heaven.

La Isla Ceviche-- Fresh fish and shrimp ceviche, loaded with onions, cilantro, tomatoes, and chilies.  Not too spicy, very cool and refreshing in this August heat!

Cupcakes 'n'  Beyond-- You can't miss their hot pink food truck!  These gourmet cupcakes are in a class of desserts all their own.  A bargain at only $3 per cupcake (I would have paid $5 easily).  These beautiful and delicious cupcakes come in so many colors and flavors, its best to just buy an assortment and get a discount.  (Look for the full feature article of cupcakes next week!)

Edible Alchemy-- Fermented treats! From sauerkraut to slaw, this table offers an assortment of home-fermented foods to aid digestive health and stimulate your taste buds! He even brews his own special Oolong tea kombucha (fermented tea drink).  An ecclectic gourmet find for the adventurous palate.
