The grapes were bountiful at Wednesday's Farmers Market in Santee. The best bunches looked like they are from Smit's Orchard, a family farm from Linden, CA, that offers strictly organic fruit.

Carrots from a vendor farther down the line also looked crisp and perfect to be roasted for tonight's dinner.

You can find the every Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at 10445 Mission Gorge Rd., near the Pioneer Little League fields.
