Lakeside Fire 100-Percent Contained

LAKESIDE, CA — A brush fire burning just north of Lakeside near the San Vicente Reservoir was 100 percent contained Monday, according to a fire officials.

The so-called "Lakeside Fire" erupted for unknown reasons Sunday afternoon near Highway 67 and Slaughterhouse Canyon Road.

No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported during the wildfire that consumed a total of 18 acres, according to Cal Fire-San Diego.

Officials had just announced 100-percent containment Sunday of the 28-acre Rock Fire further north on Highway 67 when the Lakeside Fire broke out.
