Hello, my name is William Rothwell and I am the owner of Creative Instinct. I’m asking for your help to find some needy families in San Diego so we can help them this holiday season.
As many of you may know, Creative Instinct is closing within the next couple of months. When we opened, I had hoped we would eventually at least break even within the first few years, but unfortunately that has not happened. Regardless of our inability to become successful as a store, I still want to give back to the community that has faithfully supported us!
Many years ago I was in a bad situation during the holidays. I was unable to buy any Christmas presents for family and friends. While everyone said “don’t worry, this will change and we understand”, I still felt completely horrible. I know that the holidays aren’t just about presents, but not being able to provide those I loved with a present while accepting presents from them really made me feel bad.
I’d like to help out some San Diego folks who are in a similar situation this year, but I need your help. Starting Monday, November 30th, we will be giving away a $50 gift certificate every day. This gift certificate is good for items in our store (no additional purchase is required, of course!). I would like to give out one per day until December 15th. This could make the holiday season just a bit nicer for some folks who are just down on their luck right now.
Do you know someone who could need a little boost this year? If so, please nominate them! Please respond to this post with the name of person or family who needs help, a brief description of why you feel they are deserving or in need and a way of contacting them. You can also stop by the store (8774 Cuyamaca St, Santee) and fill out a form that we have.
